The Hero has the most growth but so does the Heroine and the Hero’s sister. Am I the only consumer who wants to experience a few of the good times, the couple shares, after they have smoothed out their relationship? Is that really too much to ask? This book has excellent character development. The major conflict is between the Hero and Heroine, in this book, and I hate that as soon as they clear the air between them, the book ends. What’s a half cliffhanger? It’s when a novel abruptly ends after the resolution of the major conflict, there is no epilogue and leaves so many unanswered questions. If you had listened/bought all four separately, you would have been subject to three and a half cliffhangers. Yes, I know it says that it is four books, but really, it’s a single novel that was previously released as a novel released in four sections for additional financial gain. I really loved this book up to the ending. Worth a credit? Oh this is the easiest answer in the world to give. The outstanding dual POV sexy narration by droolworthy Christian Fox brought the well-written chapters to life, the pace of the story was perfect, the descriptive scenes enabled me to paint vivid colorful mental images and, the ‘indecent proposal’ plot blew me away as it twisted and turned into something very different, I hung onto every single word and absolutely nothing could tear me away from its emotionally charged chapters. and its final raw heartachingly beautiful scenes had me praying that it would never end. it’s scorching sex scenes had me blushing. its romance had me sighing while dreamily hoping it would last. its impressive character growth was huge. Its inevitable break-up had me convinced no amount of time, distance or saying sorry would heal the damage done to their shattered hearts. its complex multi-layered characters had me changing allegiances over and over again. its heartbreaking revelations broke my heart. its unpredictable drama had me needy for more more more. But this book absolutely owned my heart and soul.
surpassing well-loved authors, authors I’ve been following for years and authors who’ve given me many many hours of listening pleasure. I have over 2000 audiobooks in my library and this book, God this book, is at the very top of them ALL.
